About the 2008 Convention
The 40 th Annual Convention of the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA) will be held at the Perth Convention Centre from 11 to 14 October, 2008. The Convention will cover a range of issues under the title: Australia’s Sustainable Future – In the Pipeline!.
The Annual Convention is the most significant event in the pipeline industry’s calendar. The 2008 event will provide an interesting mix of papers that will demonstrate the importance of the industry to the nation as it prepares to meet the challenges of climate change, increased demand for natural gas for power generation and the need to provide efficient and effective transport of water in a dry climate.
The Australian pipeline industry is respected worldwide and APIA’s broad membership base provides a depth of knowledge and information unrivalled in the nation’s energy industries. The Business Sessions at the 2008 APIA Annual Convention are expected to further enhance the Convention’s reputation as an event of significance.
