“Australia’s Sustainable Future – In The Pipeline!”
11 – 14 October 2008
Perth Convention Centre, Western Australia
About the 2008 Convention
The 40th Annual Convention of the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA) was held at the Perth Convention Centre from 11 to 14 October, 2008. The Convention covered a range of issues under the title: Australia’s Sustainable Future – In the Pipeline!.
The 2008 business program provided an interesting mix of papers that demonstrated the importance of the industry to the nation as it prepares to meet the challenges of climate change, increased demand for natural gas for power generation and the need to provide efficient and effective transport of water in a dry climate.
The 40th Annual Convention was certainly a special Convention this year and provided many memorable moments. The commemorative book and DVD were also popular. Our thanks again to Scott Pearce and his team for the tremendous effort on a wonderful book that will be a collectors item for years to come. APIA members have recieved a hardcopy version of the book. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the DVD, contact Katy Whiting at the secretariat: 02 6273 0577.
