If you would like to share your safety information or lessons we invite you to complete a Safety Alert form . When completed please email to APIA.

APIA’s members have encouraged the promotion of health and safety throughout the pipeline industry. In order to assist its members achieve optimum health and safety results, APIA has established an effective and pro-active Health and Safety Committee. This committee develops and disseminates industry guidelines, including in relation to construction safety; provides a range of forums to discuss and address health and safety issues; has implemented an industry  wide safety alert system, and keeps its members fully abreast of safety initatives considered applicable to the activities of its members.

The Australian pipeline industry’s safety record is impeccable and the activities of the Health and Safety Committee keep the industry focussed on maintaining this excellent record.

APIA Safety Award

This award, which is open to all members of APIA (both companies and individuals), is designed to recognise one or more of the following achievements, all of which aim to improve the safety of the pipeline industry and its personnel:

  • Outstanding safety performance in the workplace, whether in administration/office, industrial, project, or operations and workplaces.
  • A unique innovation or initiative addressing a safety issue.
  • A new and well-defined safety system, procedure, or practice.
