Young Pipeliners Forum
The Young Pipeliners Forum (YPF) was established to provide a forum for all young people (nominally under 35 years of age), working within the pipeline industry to exchange ideas, network and share pipeline industry-related issues with one another.
The YPF is, in part, a recognition that today’s “young pipeliners” represent an important component of the industry and one that can actively influence the industry’s direction and success.
The YPF initiative started in Canberra with a Young People’s Forum in May 2006 which generated tremendous support from members and enthusiasm from participants. In fact, so many young pipeliners volunteered to maintain the momentum that APIA now has State-based YPF committees, with a representative from each of these committees also participating in the national YPF committee.
